By: Series: KFB-meddelande ; 2000:16Publication details: Linköping Kommunikationsforskningsberedningen, 2000Description: 1 CD, 20 s. CDSubject(s): Bibl.nr: VTI 2001.0036Location: Abstract: Rapid development of various traffic information services makes necessary to co-ordinate information provided to travellers from different sources. In this paper an approach is proposed for evaluation of the effect of information co-ordination between various driver information services. The question discussed is how co-ordinated and not co-ordinated information services may affect the network performance via drivers' route switching as response to provided information on unexpected traffic disturbances. A numeric example demonstrates potential benefit from the information co-ordination.
