The project aimed to (i) quantify the impact of measures to reduce road travel; (ii) assess the extent to which travel reduction strategies may affect road infrastructure financing and cost recovery plans and (iii) produce an action plan of policy packages to reduce the need for road based travel. The project was composed of five work packages; Work Package 0 (Project management); Work Package 1 (Establish baseline); Work Package 2 (Impacts of travel reduction measures); Work Package 3 (Developing policy packages) and Work Package 4 (Action plan).
