AGILE aims to develop a new, flexible and modular system for assessing the ability to drive of the elderly. In doing so, it develops a pre-screening tool, an in-depth assessment procedure (comprised of a neuropsychological test battery, driving simulator scenarios and an on-road test), as well as detailed on-road test, to be used as reference for the rest tools. Other significant project by-products are the assessment criteria of elderly driving ability (WP2) and a re-training scheme for elderly drivers (WP8). All these tools and methods are evaluated in a series of six laboratory and three field tests.
