Publikation 2004:187, 2004Beskrivning: 42 sÄmnen: Bibl.nr: VTI P1928:2004-187Location: Abstrakt: In this project a technical solution for co-operation in sharing information is being built, between the road manager in the greater Stockholm and a road carrier representing the private sector, to se the effect of an increased information sharing. The road carrier will receive traffic information from the road manager. The road carrier in turn will contribute information about disruptions that they them selves discover as well as GPS information about the mobility in the road system. An evaluation shows that both the road carrier and the road manager are positive to the information sharing and that the road carrier thru interview sees direct gains in efficiency. There are several examples of drivers that has used the information and have been able to take an alternative route when there has been disruption in the traffic. The connection to Trafik Stockholm are ready but has yet not been tested. As a result of the positive effect that the technical solution has given there is has created an interest among the project participants for a continuation of the project. Future possibilities can be to increase the sharing to more parties, refine the actual handling of the information ore a deeper dialog round the messages that is being exchanged. A strong recommendation is to increase the contacts between operating personal within the road manager and Trafik Stockholm and utility traffic i.e. the road carrier.Aktuellt bibliotek | Status | |
