The report provides an overview of information- and communication (ICT) systems for aviation, sea transport, railways and road transport with a main emphasis on the areas transport demand, management of transport services, driver assistanse and transport means monitoring, management of infrastructure, and terminal management. The system overview covers person transport and freight transport, and primarily systems available on the market, but also many examples of appropriate use of ICT are shown in the form af company specific solutions, in particular within customer handling. For each system a short description of main functions is given. The report indicate functinal areas where it seems to be a need for new solutions or further development of existing solutions to create a better an more user friendly and competitive transportsystem. The report contains more than 500 electronic sources for system information.
