In continuation of the aforementioned strategy the Danish Road Directorate, Aalborg University and Danish Forest & Landscape has been awarded research funds from the Realdania Foundation for the project "The City, the Road and the Landscape". The purpose of the project and this publication is to develop a spatial strategy and an architectonic vision for the future planning of the Danish motorway network and its interaction with the landscape and the city. This is based upon analyses of commuting along with investigations of the landscape and the urban areas.
