Comfortable with the quality management process used in design-bid-build, many agencies are seeking assurance that the quality level of the completed project with design-build is not compromised. The Transportation Research Board Task Force on Design-Build sponsored an all-day workshop to address quality on DB projects. The focus was on achieving quality on DB projects from the preparation of the request for proposals (RFP), to the actual design, to the use of incentives to achieve desired levels of quality, and to final construction.
