Bärighet på väg - via förbättrad packning : fullskaleförsök med lättklinker som underbyggnad Sundblad, John ; Widen, Per

By: Contributor(s): Language: Swedish Language: English Series: Examensarbete ; 2007:33Publication details: Göteborg Chalmers tekniska högskola. Institutionen för bygg- och miljöteknik, 2007Description: 81 sSubject(s): Online resources: Dissertation note: Examensarbete Abstract: On the highway E6 through Bohuslän great issues with rutting has evolved. The planned lifespan has only been reached in exceptionally occasions. The source of the problem probably derives from constructing the pavement construction, especially during the packing procedure. The road sections has been founded on soft subsoil made of clay or lightweight aggregates. The purpose of the Master s Thesis is to investigate the compaction procedure for a road construction with lightweight aggregate as soft subsoil, to decide the impact on the bearing capacity due to the thickness of the overlayer and also to evaluate the mechanical property of the lightweight aggregate. Full scale tests have been built up and rolled with a vibrating roller. Measurements have been performed during the experiment on the deformation, the bearing capacity and the earth pressure. The lightweight aggregate has been tested before and after the experiment in a laboratory.
