Road network information model : Deliverable D6.3 Wikström, Lars
Utgivningsinformation: uo EuroRoads - eContent, 2006Beskrivning: 118 sÄmnen: Onlineresurser: Abstrakt: This document defines a draft version of the final application schema for core European road data as specified by the EuroRoadS project. The primary use for this document is to serve as basis for the definition of a data exchange specification within EuroRoadS. The EuroRoadS application schema is based on the ISO 19100 suite of international standards for geographical information which was produced by ISO/TC 211. Parts that are covered by this document are: - The road network structure and some basic mandatory attributes and a mechanism to attach additional attributes directly to the road network elements. - A network referencing structure to attach attributes and features to the road network elements. - An incremental update structure and definitions for permanent identities. - A mechanism to make it easier to join data at borders. - A core set of attributes for a couple of applications pointed out by the project The following areas are intentionally left out: - Metadata is described in D6.8 which is based on ISO 19115 - Metadata. A quality model for EuroRoadS has been defined in D2.2. Note: The quality model described in D2.2 and the one in ISO 19115 differs in some aspects. The metadata schema of EuroRoadS takes both models into consideration. - The data exchange model and schema will be defined in separate deliverables. This document defines a draft version of the final application schema for core European road data as specified by the EuroRoadS project.
