The report describes comparative measurements with the Danish Road Directorates High Speed Deflectograph (HSD) and a Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD). The test was carried out at the indoor test section at BASt in Germany, on two different pavement constructions. Strain gauges were positioned in the constructions, and strains were measured as the HSD passed. The results indicate that the HSD is capable of differentiating between pavements of different bearing capacity, and that there seem to be a straight forward relation between results from the HSD and the FWD.
