In addition, the authors have constructed a system that links with 3D CAD and enables output 3D data to be viewed and evaluated as a virtual reality (VR) model. In linking with 3D VR, the system can be used for road alignment and landscape planning and evaluation, intelligent transportation (ITS), and for presenting project proposals to a wider audience at explanatory meetings.
