This has caused a debate in some countries, including Sweden. Technical developments are making it easier to monitor people and this has intensified the debate about the integrity and legitimacy of carrying out surveillance. This paper aims to highlight these issues and will look in particular at how integrity issues can affect the continued development and introduction of ITS in Sweden and other countries. The aim is to provide a clear foundation for continued discussion around the field of ITS. The City of Stockholm will continue to introduce ITS to increase accessibility and security and to improve the environment. And, this paper will continue to work to promote integrity aspects in the different applications. Users of a modern traffic system need to require both security and integrity.
