Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited took various measures to reduce the number of vehicles stopped at ETC lanes, which is mostly caused by the carelessness of drivers. This paper evaluates countermeasures, such as the notification antenna to make drivers aware that the ETC card is not inserted correctly, and that the pavement markings and various kinds of caution signs in front of tollgates are described. Moreover, It shows the importance of the supporting for drivers.
