Trafikanalys har ansvaret att med officiell statistik beskriva luftfarten i Sverige och dess utveckling. Vårt mål är att statistiken ska vara intressant och användbar för en bred skara användare. Årsboken innehåller statistik som beskriver luftfartsverksamheten i Sverige. Uppgifterna kommer från Luftfartsverket och de kommunala och privata flygplatserna, samt flygbolag. Sedan 2003 är det obligatoriskt för alla svenska flygplatser med linje- och chartertrafik som omfattas av Europaparlamentet och rådets förordning (EG437/2003) att inrapportera upp - gifter om lufttransport av passagerare, gods och post1. Trafikanalys och Transportstyrelsen tackar alla uppgiftslämnare som bidragit till att denna publikation kunnat sammanställas. During 2009 there were nearly 25,5 million passengers in scheduled and charter traffic at Swedish airports. This was a decrease of 2,6 million passengers as compared with the previous year, and represents a decrease of 9,3 percent. The number of passengers in international traffic decreased by 8,7 percent, while the number of passengers in domestic traffic fell off by 11,4 percent. Trends vary from airport to airport. Relatively speaking, the most positive trend during 2009 regarding passengers took place at Kramfors-Sollefteå airport, followed by the airport in Mora. In absolute numbers, the increase was greatest at Stockholm-Bromma airport with 150,000 more passengers during 2009. Örnsköldsvik and Trollhättan-Vänesborg were among the airports that experienced less favourable trends. In 2009, there were nearly 2.89 billion passenger kilometrers as compared with 3.23 billion in 2008. This is a decline of almost 11 percent. Since the number of passenger fell by 11.4 percent, it means that the lenght of the average flight is almost unchanged between 2008 and 2009. There were about 372,400 landings during 2009. This was a decrease of slightly more than 20,500 landings, and this represents a decrease of 5.2 percent compared to 2008. The number of landings in scheduled and charter traffic declined by 8.4 percent. During the year, taxi and general aviation increased by 0.7 percent. During 2009 there were about 23 million available seats in scheduled and charter traffic from Swedish airports. This was a decline by nearly 3 million seats compared to 2008, and represent a decrease of 11.4 percent. The average passenger load factor reached 69.9 percent in 2009. This is an increase of 1.7 percentage point compared to 2008. Air-freight to and from Swedish airports during 2009 amount to slightly more than 141,100 tonnes. This means a decline of 24 percent compared to 2008. The airmail decreased by 9 percent during 2009 to 25,120 tonnes.
