By: Contributor(s): Series: VTI notat ; 3-2011Publication details: Linköping VTI, 2011Description: 55 s. + bil.(32 s.)Other title:
  • Condition assessment of road markings of four regions in Sweden in 2010
Subject(s): Online resources: Bibl.nr: VTI P5000:2011-03Location: Abstract: Starting in 2000, mobile condition assessment of dry road marking retroreflectivity has been carried out in Sweden. Later, also the retroreflectivity of wet road markings has been estimated from the dry performance and the macro texture. As in 2009, this estimation is made for profiled markings on European highways (excluding lane lines). This year, 2010, the length of the measurement objects has been reduced from 20 km to 10 km with the aim of measuring more objects. This year also involved the transition of the Swedish National Road Administration into the Swedish Transport Administration (April 1st 2010), and a change of the administrative regions. As in previous years, there are several motives with condition assessments: - To which degree is the performance in the Swedish regulations fulfilled? - Is there any difference in road marking quality within the same region, i.e. between the counties? - How has the performance fluctuated over time?
