Av: Serie: NVF rapport ; 2/2007Utgivningsinformation: Oslo Nordiska vägtekniska förbundet. 2007Beskrivning: 179 sÄmnen: Onlineresurser: Abstrakt: The first day of the annual meeting started with a networking seminar. The purpose of the seminar was to provide an opportunity for the members to get better acquainted with each other across the national boundaries. The seminar was thoroughly planned by the Norwegian chairman and secretary. Short, time-limited conversations between two members from different countries were taking place. Notes were taken, and afterwards each member had to present one conversation partner for the rest of the meeting. The networking seminar was very successful and the feedback was clearly positive! The main topic of the annual meeting was Performance based paving contracts. Work on this topic was also continued as a project towards the 2008 ViaNordica congress in Helsinki. The work on the main topic started in 2007 with a survey aimed at producing a basic overview of different contract types that have been in use, and experience with these in the Nordic countries. The responses to the survey were discussed and documented in a main report which was presented at the annual meeting. In addition, short national reports were produced from each country. These were submitted as attachments to the main report. At the meeting, cases from each of the countries Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway on the use and experience with performance based paving contracts were presented. Additionally, an insight into how these contract types are implemented in countries outside the Nordic region was gained through a guest lecture given by Ragnar Evensen, ViaNova Plan and Traffic AS. Finally, panel discussion with prepared questions was conducted on the main topic. In the annual Nordic research competition we had participants from Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Iceland and Norway. After voting within the different national committees, the 2007-award went to Nils Ryden from Sweden. His research topic was "Functional quality evaluation by wave propagation". Nils Ryden presented his doctoral project dealing with a newly developed, non-destructive test method for pavements based on the interpretation of wave propagation (seismic). The method makes it possible to measure the stiffness and thickness of various layers in pavement without taking samples. The award was presented during a dinner at Rica Nidelven hotel after the meeting. As usual, a technical tour was arranged on the last day of the annual meeting. First we visited the Statoil research centre in Trondheim and here we got a historical lecture by Per Kotte on "The Norwegian oil adventure". After this, the bus took us in south-west direction to Løkken Verk and to a visit at the Orkla industrial museum. On our way back from Løkken we took the old museum railway Thamshavnbanen to Bårdshaug. The 2007 annual meeting gathered a total of 49 participants and 26 accompanying persons.
