Syftet med föreliggande studie var att samla in och utvärdera erfarenheterna av ett specifikt fordonsprojekt inom järnvägen. Skånetrafikens pågående fordonsprojekt X61 valdes ut för en fallstudie. Deltagarna (n=6) hade alla definierade roller i det aktuella projektet, varav hälften var instruktionsförare med domänexpertis på det aktuella fordonet. Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes individuellt med varje deltagare. Intervjumaterialet analyserades och organiserades sedan enligt olika teman. Slutsatserna pekar bl.a. på att kvalitetssäkringsprocessen bör förbättras. Vidare påpekas vikten av noggrannare samordning i projekt där fler än två parter är inblandade. Sammanfattningsvis kan en slutsats göras om behovet av systematiska arbetsprocesser för att få med MTO-frågor i fordonsutvecklingsprojekt inom järnvägen.

The aim of this study was to gather and evaluate the experiences from a specific railway vehicle project. For this purpose the ongoing vehicle project X61 of Skånetrafiken (the regional public transportation authority in the region of Skåne, Sweden) was chosen for a case study. The participants (n=6) all had defined roles in the present project; three of the participants were driving instructors with a subject matter expertise of the vehicle in question. Semi-structured interviews were conducted individually with every participant. The interview material was then analyzed and organized according to different themes. The study concludes, among other things, that the quality assurance process should be improved. Also, the importance of a more thorough coordination between parties in projects involving more than two actors is identified. In addition, it can be concluded that there is a need for a systematic work process to include human factors (MTO) issues in railway vehicle design projects.
