Preferred alternatives are those that present the lowest Annual Uniform Equivalent Cost of Maintenance (C.A.U.E.M.) based on the conditions of study. These alternatives have the ability to adapt to extreme overloading conditions defined structurally by the DNIT and AASHTO pavement design method. The FLAPS software is used for the analysis of the stresses and strains on the pavement layers. This study considered the traffic count obtained by the DNIT (USACE) and AASHTO methods, incorporating traditional flexible pavement, semi-rigid pavement, inverted pavement and rigid pavement
