On the occasion of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, Europe Chapter, Annual Meeting in Torino, Italy, 16-18 October 2013.

The central theme of the meeting was Human factors: sustainable life and mobility. Sustainable Development is the positive change which does not undermine the environmental or social systems on which we depend. Its success depends on widespread understanding of the critical relationship between people and their environment and the will to make necessary changes. Human Factors can contribute to design more universal, sustainable systems and ambients in the field of transportation, the workplace, organisations, and energy use.
