Projektet har studerat förutsättningar, lösningar, tänkbara implementeringsplaner samt effekter av att elektrifiera godstransporter på väg inom och i anslutning till större logistikområden. För att uppnå syftet har projektet beskrivit och modellerat utbyggnad av Stockholm Syd samt elektrifiering av de tunga vägtransporter som förväntas trafikera logistikområdet, när det är fullt utbyggt inom kommande 5 till 15 år. Projektet har genomförts i branschsamverkan med representation från näringsliv, offentlig förvaltning och akademi. Det övergripande målet med projektet har varit att föreslå och utvärdera arbetssätt, samarbeten, innovationer och investeringar som bidrar till att nå nationella mål om utsläppsminskningar. Med detta som utgångspunkt har projektet modellerat en tänkbar utveckling för Stockholm Syd, från nuläge till färdigutbyggd och fossilfri nationell transporthubb.

The project studied current conditions, challenges and opportunities, solutions, potential implementation pathways and effects of electrifying freight transport by road within and adjacent to larger logistics areas. To achieve the aim, the project described and modeled the expansion of Stockholm Syd (Stockholm South) industrial and logistics area as well as the electrification of the heavy road transport that is expected to operate there when it is fully developed within the next 5 to 15 years. The project was carried out in collaboration with representatives from business, public administration and academia. The overall goal of the project was to propose and evaluate methods, collaborations, innovations and investments that contribute to reaching national targets on emission reductions. With this as a starting point, the project modeled a possible development for Stockholm Syd from its current state to a fully developed and fossil-free national transport hub.
