Subject(s): Online resources: Abstract: The report compares many different measures to evaluate the performance of different measuring devices. Despite that there are already many different measures in use we suggested two new concepts: - True Vehicle Accuracy (TVA). - Classified Vehicle Accuracy. (CVA). The TVA measures the proportion of vehicles in a specific vehicle type that is correctly classified by the measuring device. The CVA measures the proportion of vehicles that are classified in a specific vehicle class that is correctly classified. So the TVA has the true number of vehicles in a specific class in the denominator while the CVA has the number of vehicles classified in a specific class in the denominator. Arguments are presented in the report to why these measures could be an improvement compared to previously used measures.
