Projekt: REDO 2.0

Rapporten beskriver den del av projektet Redo2 där vi arbetat med anpassning av metodmaterialet Mentors in violence prevention (MVP) för sjöfartsbranschen. MVP bygger på tre förändringsstrategier; en bred definition av våld, en genusförändrande ansats samt betydelsen av att vara en aktiv åskådare. Det grundas på ett gemensamt ansvar att gå från tystnadskultur till samtalskultur och att börja se kopplingen mellan fysisk och känslomässig säkerhet ombord på ett fartyg. Fyra rederier har utgjort testbädd och deltagit med fokusgrupper för att göra anpassningar av materialet.

The report describes the part of the Redo2 project where we worked on adapting the methodology material Mentors in violence prevention (MVP) for the shipping industry. MVP is based on three change strategies; a broad definition of violence, a gender-changing approach and the importance of being an active bystander. It is a shared responsibility to move from a culture of silence to a culture of conversation and to begin to see the connection between physical and emotional safety on board a ship. Four shipping companies have formed a test bed and participated with focus groups to “marinate” the material.
